ABOUT
Parkway South has had an active theatre program since the building opened in 1976. Several opportunities exist throughout the year for students who are interested in being involved in a number of capacities - as a student, as an actor, an improv artist, technician, director, philanthropy, or other activites that use theatre as a medium to play a positive role in our community and the world at large. Below are the 5 main categories - however know that more specific and detailed information can be found throughout this website and on Google classroom (must be a Parkway gmail account holder to access these). Comedy Troupe
Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester to find new members of our improv/sketch troupe.
Fall Production
Auditions are held in August for October performances. Productions will be either a comedy or drama.
Winter Production
On odd Fall school years this production will be a musical. Auditions are held in late October for Feburary production dates.
One Acts/Cabaret
The theatre department has student directed One Acts as well as MSHSAA and other shorten performance
opportunities.
ITS
PSH Theatre is a member of the International Thespian Society (Theatre Honor) and participates in local, state, and national activies throughout the year. Students can earn membership throughout the year towards their lifelong induction & membership.
